Director of Patient Safety
About the Position: The Director of Patient Safety is responsible for overseeing and enhancing patient safety programs within our behavioral health facilities. This role involves developing and implementing safety policies, conducting patient safety audits, and collaborating with various departments to ensure the highest quality of care for patients. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in healthcare management with a focus on patient safety, excellent leadership skills, and a strong commitment to delivering safe and effective behavioral health services.

- FLSA Status: Exempt
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare management, nursing, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare preferably with a focus on patient safety in a behavioral health setting.
- Strong knowledge of patient safety principles, practices, and regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data and trends to identify areas for improvement.
- Certification in patient safety or quality improvement (e.g., CPHQ, CPPS) is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree
- Five years of professional business or public administration experience, including two years in a supervisory or administrative capacity.
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of professional or technical administrative experience in business or public administration for each year of the required education.
NOTE: No substitution will be allowed for the required professional experience in a supervisory or administrative capacity.
Special Requirements:
- Applicants must be willing and able to fulfill any job-related travel normally associated with this position and as such have a valid driver’s license.
