The Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS) is the State’s statutory authority responsible for prevention, treatment and recovery from mental illness, substance abuse and addictive disorders. In addition, ODMHSAS provides prevention services at the state and local levels, in partnership with area health providers, schools, law enforcement, veteran’s groups and other community stakeholders.  ODMHSAS manages the state’s behavioral health Medicaid services, and has rule-making responsibility for specific statutory certification processes (certifying approximately 3,300 treatment providers, organizations and individuals, throughout the state).

Programs Manager II - PASRR

About the Position: The individual selected for this position will work in the Geriatric Services and Long-Term Care Division at Central Office located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma for the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health & Substance Abuse Services. This position will be responsible for the planning, implementation and directing of daily management functions of the Preadmission Screening and Resident Review (PASRR) program, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. They will also provide oversight, monitoring, and quality assurance of PASRR operations to ensure appropriate placement and services for individuals with mental illness or related conditions entering or residing in Medicaid-certified nursing facilities.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of professional experience or;
An equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of professional level experience for each year of the required education.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or closely related field;
A practitioner with a license to practice in the state issued by one of the following licensure boards: Psychology; Social Work (clinical specialty only); Professional Counselor; Marriage and Family Therapist; Behavioral Practitioner; or Alcohol and Drug Counselor. (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LBP, LADC, LADC/MH), under supervision candidates may be considered

About us: With this division of ODMHSAS, our employees help support community providers who are providing substance abuse and mental health services to all Oklahomans, including children, youth, and families across the state. We do this through ongoing training, support, and technical assistance for our contracted and state-operated providers, juvenile drug courts, family drug courts, and other community providers. Additionally, ODMHSAS serves as the state authority on behavioral health policy and administrative rules, as well as administering Oklahoma’s Behavioral Health Medicaid program.
