The Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS) is the State’s statutory authority responsible for prevention, treatment and recovery from mental illness, substance abuse and addictive disorders. In addition, ODMHSAS provides prevention services at the state and local levels, in partnership with area health providers, schools, law enforcement, veteran’s groups and other community stakeholders.  ODMHSAS manages the state’s behavioral health Medicaid services, and has rule-making responsibility for specific statutory certification processes (certifying approximately 3,300 treatment providers, organizations and individuals, throughout the state).

About the Position: Children's Recovery Center is recruiting for compassionate nurses to assist adolescents in the recovery from mental health or substance abuse challenges. Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing, our RNs provide physical assessments, implements resident's treatment plan, evaluates response to treatment, provides complete documentation, performs physical restraint assessments, administers medications as prescribed and provides health care education for residents and families. The RN supervises the daily duties of the Mental Health Techs and LPN staff, and assures that all residents are maintained in a safe environment. Performs duties in accordance with the ANA Standards of Practice for Psychiatric Mental Health Care, and facility and DMH mission, values, policies, and behavioral standards.

Job Type/Salary: Full-time (12-hour shifts)

Shifts: 7:00am - 7:00pm and 7:00pm -7:00am. Night shifts needed. Full-time and Part-time positions available!
Contracts are available $50 - $55/hr!
Annual Base Salary:
- Registered Nurse I: $70,000+
- Registered Nurse II: $72,500+
- Registered Nurse III: $76,500+
Full Compensation range of $68,659 to $91,969, depending on the number of covered dependents. Compensation range to include base salary and benefits allowance to help you pay for your benefits.
Primary Working Hours are vary based on the needs of the facility.
FLSA Status: Exempt

Additional Compensation: Along with our great benefits we also offer addition compensation for working outside of normal business hours! These shift differentials are stacked on top of your base pay wen working evenings, nights, weekends, or holidays.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

Registered Nurse I: Associate in nursing and possession of a valid permanent Oklahoma license as a registered nurse as approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing or Registered Nurse License recognized by the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
Registered Nurse II: Bachelor’s in Nursing and possession of a valid permanent Oklahoma license as a registered nurse as approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing or Registered Nurse License recognized by the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) OR Associate in Nursing and one year of professional nursing experience OR Associate in Nursing and two years of LPN experience in psychiatric nursing.
Registered Nurse III: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and possession of a valid, permanent Oklahoma license as a registered nurse as approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing and one year of professional nursing experience; or an Associate Degree in Nursing and two years of professional nursing experience; or an Associate Degree in Nursing and three years of LPN experience in psychiatric nursing
Unrestricted Oklahoma RN licensure.

Special Requirements:

Upon a conditional offer of employment, Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services applicants must submit to a physical examination and shall meet the physical examination requirements of occasionally lifting/carrying 50 pounds and able to push and pull a maximum force of 25 pounds.
Applicants must be willing and able to fulfill any job-related travel normally associated with this position and as such have a valid driver’s license.

Company Overview: The Children’s Recovery Center of Oklahoma (CRC) is located in Norman, Oklahoma, and serves all 77 counties in Oklahoma as the Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS) treatment center for young people ages 13 through 17. CRC provides community crisis stabilization and residential treatment for substance abuse and co-occurring mental health and trauma related conditions.
