Job Opportunity: Food Service Specialist
Jim Taliaferro Community Mental Health Center is seeking a full-time Food Service Specialist who enjoys working in the kitchen! This role involves handling, preparing, cooking, and serving food to our consumers while maintaining a clean and sanitary workspace.


Job Details:
  • Job Type: Full-Time
  • Salary: Level I: $30,500.00 per year ($14.66/hour) Level II: $32,500.00 per year ($15.63 hour) + shift differentials & benefits allowance
  • Schedule: Varies based on facility needs
  • FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Level I: No prior experience or education required
  • Level II: one year of experience in a commercial or institutional food service or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of vocational or technical school training in food preparation for the required experience.
  • Commitment to patient well-being and safety
  • Belief in the possibility of recovery
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 25 lbs
  • Valid driver’s license for job-related travel
  • Must pass a physical examination and drug screening (for safety-sensitive roles)

Jim Taliaferro Community Mental Health Center in Lawton, OK is a community-based center with a primary focus on mental health and substance abuse treatment. The inpatient and outpatient services they provide include special groups and programs for adolescents, persons with co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders, seniors and older adults, women, men, and criminal justice groups.
